Hitting Problems!

So other than the weather this week, as it has been absolutely gorgeous in the UK, which Im sure won't last very long, there have been a few let downs!

First of all, which I feel is the most annoying, is the fact that my hair has began to fade...already!! My hair was oringinally blonde (bleached not natural) and I was getting a bit bored with it and felt like it was bleaching out my face at the same time, so deicded to put a honey blonde colour on it. It has made it so much softer for my features and gives me a bit more of a healthy glow, but unfortunately the bleach has over powered, and after one cover was it is beginning to fade...no one can beat the bleach. And now it looks like a dirty dishwasher colour! So that was failure number one....

Thirdly is to do with the amazing daisy lace shorts that I bought on budget the other week in Matalan. It turns out im not a size 8 anymore around my bum (as this is where all of my extra weight ends up)! I suppose it was my own stupid fault for not trying them on in the first place, but this now means I have to travel all the way back and replace them with a bigger size...without a reciept either which should make it more fun!

Second of all, absolutely ridiculous tan lines. I naturally have quite an olive skin tone, which I know is very lucky and I am really greatful for (thanks ancestors) but this does mean that I catch the sun very very easily without burning. Me and the boyf went out for the day yesterday and the weather was a-mazing. However I stupidly wore a tshirt that has sleeves so now I have a real man tan on my arms! It is not a great look at all. Damn.

Anyway I just wanted to share these problems with you just to make you all aware of the silly mistakes we all make in life! So dont forget to keep your receipts or even easier try things on before you buy, where decent clothing in the sun and also let a hairdresser do your hair, they are bound to do a better job than we ever will!!

Just a little life post for you...Im now off to the garden to sort out these tan lines! :)

And a picture to keep you entertained.....

Beautiful day yesterday :)

Finishing Uni and New Beginnings :)

This past week had been pretty manic if Im honest!! I have finished my Uni degree, which is actually a little mental and feel that I have not had much time to blog about things Ive done so I thought I would share it with you through the pictures I have taken :) xxx

These were just some photos of my last day at Uni....how great are the little cakes I made :) I bought those Cath Kidston style from ebay, along with some matching napkins in preparation for my family BBQ birthday party this summer...of which I have been spending a lot of time planning on Pinterest now I have a lot of spare hours of my hands :)

So basically this last half of the week has really been spent relaxing and enjoying my own company, alongside my boyfriends who I have been sort of neglecting over these past few days! It feels so good to just be able to sit down and read a book again without feeling guilty about the amount of Uni work I should really be doing! And I have already managed to get through Season 1 of the OC (again) already....But now Uni is over Im ready to begin my life :)

Oh...Ive also dyed my hair! Im thinking its a bit more O'Naturelle' now :)

New Bits & Bobs

So, today I went out in search of a pink blazer to wear on my Uni night out and practically buying lots of little things that I didn't really need, and came home....without a pink blazer. So this technically makes it a shopping fail but I love the little things that I picked up :)

The first place I went to was Matalan as I saw a blazer on their website which said 'new in' and I always find some good bargains in there so decided to go and have a look! However, it was not what it looked like on the website at all and was a vile fluorescent red/pink colour. Not my sort of thing at all! But did manage to find a few other bargains!
The first thing I purchased was this really cute bowl which I absolutely love!! It was priced at £3 but got to the til and it was half price, so an amazing £1.50!! Im up that way tomorrow too so will def be going in and getting more!! I thought they'd be perfect for serving little snacks in a parties and things :) And I can't wait to eat my cereal tomorrow morning now!

I have never been able to cook but I found this little cookbook for girls which was £3! I figured seeing as it was for girls then the things in there would be easy and basically perfect for my cooking ability!! Its also really pretty and contains things like 'Fizzy Pink Cupcakes'. Yum :)

This was my last item and I love it! Its a gorgeous, cute, vintage style trinket box with distressed roses on it! I love it and have already put all of my earings in it! The homeware stuff in Matalan is actually amazing so I know where I'll be heading when I get my own place! £8. Bargain.

I also got these shorts in Matalan. I love love love them! Ive has my eye out for a pair for ages and these are actually really good quality! They were £20 (shhh) but I wanted to treat myself :)

I then headed over to Paperchase to have a look for some business-y type things (as Im starting my own photography business for those of you who don't know).

These were the 3 things that I bought and I love them all!! The first was just because I liked them. These two cute pens were £2.50 which I thought was great and I just felt like I had to have them :)

The send is this little polka dot plastic busniess card holder/box which I though would be perfect to take around to weddings and events etc with me incase someone asks for my card and it will stop them getting damamged! Another good bargain at £1.25!

I think that this last item was my favourite buy of the day. I know it says 'Home Organiser' on the front but it is going to be used as my business organiser! Its got so much space in it which is split into different section for finances, documents and contacts etc which is so handy and means that I can keep everything in the same place! Plus its pretty too :)

The last 2 things I bought were these 2 boob tube tops, which are just really cute and casual and will pretty much go with anything! So I just thought really handy!! And at £3 a go you cant really do any wrong!!

So Yeah! That was it for today but I just wanted to share it with so you can see how great Matalan really is for good deals!!

A Touch of Sparkle

Recently I have been seeing this new nail trend (well its not so new) but Ive recently started loving it! Im sure everyone is aware of the 'colour your ring finger a different colour from the rest of your nails' look but before hand Ive only ever seen it in block colours. However I came across this picture on my Pinterest and absolutely fell in love with it....

I absolutely love the candy-floss pink nail colour and the sparkling silver just completely tops it off! These colours look so great together! Before I saw this I only really saved my sparkle nail colours for Christmas and New Year time, but I love the fact that I can now wear them all year round!!

Heres my version....

I have chosen to go for a glossy light colour as for the majority of my fingers just because I think its quite sophisticated and subtle yet very pretty, and for my little bit of ring finger glitter I've got for a mixture of silver, pinks and purples.....Perfect

Uni work, contemplating and body confidence!

The last few weeks and Uni have been very very hard going, and I dont mean work load (well that is quite a large part) but more importantly due to the fact that I have been working on a self portrait project and analysing my own identity (ahhh).

I think that ANY girl will agree with me when I say this, but Ive always been very body concious (and any girl who says no, then they are little liars :)) Anyway. The idea for this project when I found myspelf spending hours and hours (no exaggeration) on Tumblr just blogging and reblogging pictures of all of these beautiful, stick thin, 6ft girls with their blonde flowing hair. Many of them were celebrities, but some literally just girls that I had never seen in my life before. I started to realise that it was beginning to make me really depressed and feel really shit about myself. I also found myself being so confused on my to style myself because I was being so influenced by these 'beautiful' people and wanting to look like them. I literally completely lost myself and who I was. It was actually really sad.

Therefore I decided to base my photography project on it and it actually has really helped. The most important thing that has changed is my view on what 'beutiful' actually is! There is SO much pressure on girls to become this stick thing, size 0 person with a perfectly simetrcal face. This is NOT going to happen, especially for me. Im just creeping up to 5ft, with the biggest, meatiest booty that Ive ever layed eyes on (I could give Kim Kardash a run for her money). But after realsing how much effort it was taking to meet other people's expectations and to always say 'no' to that slice of cake, Ive given up. Beautiful isnt being a girl in Vogue magazine, its completely being you, and no matter what size you are, its about embracing it! I now LOVE my curves, and Ive come to terms with the fact that its just how Ive been made.

So please, please, please take my advice...you ARE beautiful, you just need to realise it before you compare yourself to others :)

Long time no see!

Im sending out a h-uuuuge apologie to all of you lovely people! Its been a very long time since I have posted but Ive been having a massively stressful time with uni! However - only 2 weeks to go and then I am going to make myself a regular blogger and am going to contemplate of whether or not to join the scary world of You Tube...Uh-Oh.

Anyway, I am going to be doing some fashion blogs for you as I have recently been on a massive haul to Primark and want to share my wonderful purchases with you.

Much Love,
